Damnit. I woke up at 10am or so, but I find out last week's theory time & place WAS a one-off after all.
9:30am is the norm, it seems - and is in the lecture theatre. I still am pissed off with myself for this - each session needs to be used to the best of its time and worth.
Thus, today's blog now has relatively nothing to with UCA. (I'm going to look back on this with beaming nostalgia)
Instead, I used this morning to work on some of the strips. On iTunes store, Sonic the Hedgehog 4 also caught my eye and devoured too much of today. Most of my blog would end up talking about the game, really, but this definitely isn't the time or place. Got a text message from my aunt, asking to come over to see me on Saturday. That's nice - an occasional visit would be cool.
Checking on Facebook, something great took me by surprise - Su sent me a friend request. Considering she is in a different group, would most likely forget my name and such, this came out of the left field. Did Vikki pass on my contact details to her?
At about 5:00pm or so, I was going to head to Waitrose to pick up some goods, and most importantly some spaghetti for my meatballs. (OMG lollylops) Sophie and most of the houesmates were outside, however (Including Louie) planning to head to Sainsbury's. Some company is also nice - so I went with them instead.
Yannis was in a pretty peculiar mood. Actually, Yannis always seems to have some quirky aspects to him - but this occasion raised the roof. He was chaining together quotes in a funky accent non-stop, at a high decimal. With his pricey Skull-Candy headphones and music player (whom Rob was made to...carry for some reason) he was duetting to his music crazy-like.
Got to Sainsbury's - I mentioned before about the deals here; all over I was quickly consumed into compulsive buying once again. I didn't actually buy all that much - but BOGOF on Chocolate fingers and Walkers is a welcoming offer. I couldn't find the spaghetti yet typically the moment I find a nearby employee, the pasta section is then close to me. Picked up a six-pack can 'o coke. Better break the addiction on that corrosive matter. Woman giving free tasters for smoked salmon, served on bread, offered me the last three pieces since she was going to head home. I'm cranky on Sainsbury's brand food, especially meat, but the deal and actual flavour was YUMMO.
Headed back and crammed my cupboard full of the food. Jamie, Rory and Georgia were already getting started with cooking their food. The kitchen is spacious enough, but obviously once the ovens begin to be used it gets awkward in regards to requesting constant shifts in people's place. Shoved in the meat balls, and brought up my laptop. Eagerly a showed Rob and Yannis a rather jarring video in Korea (caught on CCTV) of a disabled man falling down an elevator shaft. Sophie turned up shortly thereafter and reminded Rob about the Daily Booth website. I...don't quite get it myself, but it seems to be popular.
Spaghetti and meat balls now cooked, it was nice and filling. Rob was alerted by a friend of his that his cake box had a hole in it (thus the explanation for many crumbs) When the kitchen emptied until it was just me, Rory and Jamie, Jamie asked to use my laptop to find a website for 'un-copyrighted' music. I suggested the audio portal on Newgrounds.com. He recognised the site - it appears PJ already made that suggestion. He poked around in the video games genre intrigued to find some 8-bit chip tunes. PJ tends to use both - is he influenced by his videos or something? Me and Rory mentioned however that videogame material gets tricky since, in theory, one thing still breaches copyrights in regards to another.
It is interesting how he's in need of finding public-domain music though. He wants his stuff to become known on YouTube while still being legally fair; ultimately I'd have to follow suit as well.
I'd forgotten before, but about 40 or so minutes ago everyone asides Nat (who always seems to be in her room, unless she's headed off again without notice this time) Kit and Rory headed off to the the SU for Ministry of Sound night. I'd actually forgotten, and my routine tends to be shower at nine and pyjamas by ten. Besides that, I need to be working on my University projects as well.
As I was in the process of writing this blog the door bell rang, and I assumed someone else on ground floor would get it. Then, there was a big rumble in the room along with a loud noise. Oi? I answered the door upon a second ring - it was...everyone. They all had forgotten their keys somehow. I enquired about the noise outside, Georgia and a few others weren't aware of any. It is in fact because Louie (as per encourage) whacked the ceiling of the alcove outside the house. The exact location the resulting knock had struck was right under my chair.
Right now the noise of drunken antics, screams and pointless roaring resonates outside. Well, I think all bets of any sleep tonight is off.
