Progression!

Today, the wake up was five minutes to 12. Guh.
I received a text message earlier from my aunt Jenine that she'd be coming at 1:30 instead the planned 12:30 because her boyfriend's boat was busted into last night.

Up stairs I lazily prepared some cereal that wouldn't get eaten until later today because the kitchen needed some cleaning. I was there so I cracked on with it. It didn't all get cleaned though because I had a call from Jenine at 1:00 on the spot that she arrived. I rushed out to greet her and Charlie. Jenine looked as healthy as ever but...Charlie! He's grown quite the beard. In fact, not just the beard but his plain shirt and shorts clothing seemed to really bring a hard-boiled fisherman to mind.

Took 'em around the Library, and they were impressed. Showed them around my room, too. Like me, Jenine wasn't too thrilled by the tiny porter window. They both found it great however. Further more, they saw the kitchen (thank god it was cleaned up last night, thank you Yannis) and met housemate Sophie and on the way out, Yannis.

Heading out of the UCA through reception, I decided to look at the exhibition held at the James Hockey gallery. I wasn't aware that students of Year 5 up to Year 12 work was being exhibited. Some of the stuff was nicely done, such as the pregnant woman and photography work of a frog half way into the water. Charlie seemed captivated by a CGi collage of London during the winter last year.

We headed out into central Farnham, deciding on a restaurant to eat at. Along the way Charlie gave in and snooped around a clothing shop. Whilst there, the manager mentioned to me another animation student - a 2nd year one, was working at the moment. She came down, and like yesterday with G01 Sophie I talked to her about the kind of antics that happen in 2nd year. You have to fund your own trips to film festivals. :((( Charlie bought some handkerchiefs. £15 handkerchiefs to be precise. The man has style.

Making our way up massively wide Castle Street, my aunt decided on a french restaurant. There, I had a 'mocktail'. Not even spell-checker deems this a valid word, so it clearly is unauthentic - a mockery. It's basically a non-alchoholic cocktail. Rainbow Punch is what I chose, and it tasted great. Too bad I can't even remember what it had, aside from soda and pineapple. Had a Gerard Burger with pretentiously named cheese and nice bacon. Jenine and Charlie asked how my course was going, and if I was making friends. Sweet to see them take an interest, no doubt. Charlie on occasion cracked the odd joke about toilets and the french language, as ever. \o/

Regarding the animation course, Jenine was in particular intrigued by dyslexia.
To put this into place - I mentioned the University running tests with the students to check for symptoms of dyslexia. The big reason is because many a student failed the courses due mainly to academic reading and writing. I'm really debatable if this is actually because of dyslexia and not simply because they don't get the time management and facts straight, though. Staff warned us enough times that the difference of formality towards academic reading and writing is on an entirely different level.
Anyhow, Jenine suggested I get tested for dyslexia. I can write fine enough, though, so I wouldn't imagine needing to be checked. Aspergus syndrome might stick its stupid thumb in the way however.

Finished up, and the couple headed back to the car park. I gave them a departing group hug, and thanked them for taking the time to visit me. Moseyed on into the library to print out some of the "essential readings" from the course handbook. The printers weren't picking up on the job lists, however. That and I embarrassingly couldn't figure out how exactly to scan in my UCA card. (Turns out you just hold it flat on the side of the touch screen. Yeah, not quite what the photo was instructing me.)

Got back and Holly rang me up. She asked if I wanted to head home during the weekend, and see Paranormal Activity 2 with her and Ben. Those two, as of recent, have just been the biggest reactors to horror films EVER! :D How can I refuse this, then? Afterwards I then just conked out on the bed. That's just lazy. I sleep in until 12 and then I do this. I did eat quite a big lunch, granted, but that's not the point.

At about 7:15 I heave my Snorlax ass up, and to the kitchen. Had some tea and marmite toast. Also watched a couple of YouTube movies with Yannis, Rob and Sophie. Yannis and Rob showcased a couple of amateur filmmaker works - couldn't who they were. It was certainly interesting to watch though, and some almost captivating. In particular, I liked a film featuring a man being stalked 24/7 by an ominous figure made of cement.

Headed downstairs to finish up on the daily comic strips. During which, and even now, there are loud yobbo twats outside. The doorbell rung and I ALMOST answered it, before realising it was the group outside intending to come in. They wanted to party hard, and one kept calling out to House no.90 for a PAAAAARTY. Someone lobbed something at my window, too. I didn't do anything to influence it, since the curtains were closed entirely.

And man, this fucking bass is annoying. It's vibrating the floor and everything. Good thing I'm not trying to sleep as of now, I suppose. Tomorrow I best start with the essential readings (referencing and bibliography, anyway) and finish those comics.
